What is a tabletop RPG?
A tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) is a form of interactive storytelling where participants create their own characters and embark on adventures within a shared imaginary world. Under the guidance of a game master (GM), who describes the world and controls its inhabitants, players take on the roles of their characters, making decisions and taking actions that shape the narrative. Utilizing a set of rules, often accompanied by dice rolls, the game mechanics determine the success or failure of players' actions and their characters' abilities. Tabletop RPGs encourage creativity, teamwork, and strategic thinking, providing a collaborative and immersive experience where players can explore diverse worlds and forge their own epic tales.
